In tribute to the watchmaker he idolized as a youth and who dubbed him "the rock," Pierre Dubois named his company Pierre DeRoche. Dubois comes from a family of Swiss watchmakers which began with his great-grandfather, so he brings a considerable legacy to his own brand. In Vallee de Joux in the Swiss Jura Mountains, his original, elegant timepieces are equipped with superlative movements. During development, each curve and line is conceived and drawn to fit perfectly to the shape of the wrist. The art of complicated watchmaking unites the values Dubois holds dear: work, patience, a quest for the absolute, and a love of fine craftsmanship.
